Nationwide Fuel Dispatch
Syria's Ministry of Energy sent out 400 tanker trucks carrying more than 9.6 million liters of gasoline to filling stations across the country's governorates on 6 July 2026. The ministry described the move as part of a continuing effort to keep supply steady at retail stations and to even out distribution between regions.
The update was presented as part of the ministry's day-to-day supply management, with deliveries coordinated alongside the companies responsible for moving fuel to the stations.
The Day's Numbers
Each tanker in the convoy carries roughly 24,000 liters of gasoline. Multiplied across 400 trucks, the dispatch puts well over nine million liters into the retail chain in a single push.
The shipment followed a separate batch a day earlier. On 5 July 2026 the ministry recorded 305 fuel requests totaling 7.32 million liters of gasoline, a figure that points to a sustained pace of deliveries over consecutive days.
Taken together, the two days of figures cover close to 17 million liters of gasoline routed toward stations, though the ministry did not break the totals down by governorate.
Coastal and Central Hubs
The consignments were coordinated through distribution centers in Banias, on the Mediterranean coast, and Homs, in central Syria. Both sites act as staging points that feed fuel toward stations in the surrounding governorates.
The ministry said it monitors the movement and distribution of supplies around the clock, working with the companies and institutions responsible for delivery to the stations.
Steadying the Stations
Reliable gasoline supply at retail outlets remains a practical concern for households, drivers, and the businesses that depend on daily fuel access. The stated aim of the latest operation is to narrow gaps between governorates and hold service at stations stable.
The daily figures suggest a rolling operation rather than a one-time delivery, with volumes tracked from day to day as trucks move from the coastal and central hubs to points of sale. The ministry did not pair the distribution update with any change to fuel prices.
