The 63rd Damascus International Fair opens 26 August 2026 with about 1,000 participants from 60 countries, led by a German delegation of 13 exhibitors. Last year's edition drew 2.261 million visitors and 935 billion SYP in deals.

Fair Returns 26 August

The 63rd Damascus International Fair will open on 26 August 2026 at Damascus Exhibition City. Organizers expect around 1,000 participants from 60 countries across the nine-day event.

The gathering is one of the country's largest recurring economic events, bringing together companies, official trade bodies, and government representatives.

Wide Foreign Turnout

Participating countries include China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Algeria, Libya, Lebanon, Italy, India, and Indonesia, among others. Roughly 25 Central European states are being represented collectively.

Germany is fielding the largest international presence, with an official delegation of 13 exhibitors. Turkey's participation is being organized by its Ministry of Trade, while the fair has been folded into a Saudi export-promotion program.

Last Year's Benchmark

The previous edition, held from 28 August to 5 September 2025, drew 800 local and international companies from more than 20 countries. It recorded about 2.261 million visitors.

Deals signed on its sidelines were valued at 935 billion Syrian pounds (SYP), a figure organizers cite as a measure of the event's commercial reach.

New Economic Forum

This year's program introduces the first Damascus Economic Forum, convening government, business, and international figures alongside the exhibition halls.

The opening three days are reserved for business professionals and investors, with the remaining six days given over to public, cultural, and social activities.
